JAMES HORNE

James Horne has 17 years of experience as an environmental consultant working with a diverse range of clients from local and national government to small and multinational companies as well as third sector organisations. His main area of expertise is waste and, in particular, waste market research and waste data analysis. He played a key role in the delivery of numerous national and regional commercial and industrial waste arisings surveys, UK-wide organics recycling industry surveys. He has undertaken feedstock studies for proposed waste management facilities and waste facility needs-assessments for local authorities. He also has experience of managing Europe-wide waste research projects through his role in the ProSUM project.

James has undertaken a wide array of business waste assessments, hands on waste analysis, developed and overseen HWRC wood waste segregation trials and managed waste collection trials. Clients have included: WRAP, Zero Waste Scotland, CO2Sense, Envirolink Northwest, Defra, various local authorities as well as private sector clients such as Greater Anglia Trains, Recresco and Syngenta.
