ASHLEY ROBB - Director

Winston Churchill once said: “Success is going from failure to failure, without loss of enthusiasm”. And he was absolutely right. Innovation and business success do not come without risk. Perseverance and drive make it happen. I’ve witnessed this many times over the years while supporting fledgling and diversifying businesses in seeking success in the circular economy. I’ve been involved in the low carbon sector for over 20 years, primarily in consultancy, with a particular focus on sustainable waste management. During this time, I have seen the circular economy flourish and become a political, economic and environmental priority for both governments and large corporations.

My key skills lie in environmental auditing, feasibility studies, product / market development, tender management and business planning, ultimately helping bring ideas to life. Between 2009 and 2011, I managed a £9 million ERDF resource efficiency programme, enhancing the Yorkshire region’s move to a circular economy through stimulating product development and investment support to SMEs. I have performed due diligence on low carbon product investments (business plan reviews, cash flow projections, proof of concept and proof of market) assessing whether the proposition ‘has legs’. My previous and current clients include KFC, ASDA, HMV, Defra, Yorwaste, Global Renewables, WRAP, Zero Waste Scotland, Yorkshire Forward, Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority, Westminster City Council and countless SMEs and local authorities.
