Greyhound Box

Greyhound Box is a long-running corrugated cardboard packing manufacturer based in Leeds.

With a commitment to making improvements to the environment and efficiencies in the workplace, Greyhound Box proactively started to look at support available to improve their building. With support from Green Gain through the Leeds LEP’s Resource Efficiency Fund, the business has seen an increase in productivity, turnover and profit. Green Gain identified opportunities to make resource efficiency savings on heating and lighting. Greyhound Box then received 50% of the costs to implement these resource efficiency improvements from the Leeds LEP. This has resulted in annual savings of 54,000kWhs of gas, 19,000kWhs of electricity, 15.3tonnes of CO2, and £1,653. Profits have also increased by 3%.
