High value uses for unavoidable food waste

Green Gain has been delivering support to Welsh businesses in partnership with the Biorenewables Development Centre and Lucid Insight to add value to their unavoidable food wastes through valorisation. Specific focus has been placed on supporting businesses in the fresh produce, dairy, and bakery sectors, with support to date involving options appraisals of potential opportunities, scoring and ranking of these options and the development of detailed business cases for the most promising opportunities, including finding access to supply chains and markets.
